What to expect

IMEX is overwhelming. More than 15,000 event industry professionals from all over the world descend upon Las Vegas for our industry's neighborhood block party. There are unlimited opportunities to connect, meet, play, work, relax, party, and more. 
 

  • Be a good lead (the people you are meeting with are who paid for you to be a hosted buyer!)

  • Pace yourself. 

  • Hydrate. 

  • Wear comfortable shoes. 

  • Take a break. 

  • Learn.

  • Share.

  • Sleep.

  • Eat.

  • Smile. 

  • Enjoy!

Industry buzz

There are several industry buzz terms you will see thrown around at IMEX. When posting to social media, the most common is #IMEXCITED

Health & Wellbeing

IMEX and Club Ichi care about your health and wellbeing and there are MANY opportunities to take some time for yourself. 

Event Minds Matter, empowered by Club Ichi, has a space for conversations in the Innovation Hub on Tuesday and Wednesday. Book your time to join an intimate conversation here. 

On Wednesday morning, you can join the IMEX run. 

Throughout the week, you can compete in the IMEX Wellbeing challenge. 

And don't forget about the IMEX Push-up challenge, led by Club Ichi's very own Anca Platon Trifan, David T. Stevens, and Martin Smith!

 

What to Pack

  • Clothes (duh) and normal travel things

  • Comfortable shoes

  • Reusable water bottle

  • Lotion - Las Vegas is VERY VERY dry

  • Lip balm (see above)

  • Patience

  • Whatever energizes you! (Liquid hydration powders? Instant coffee?)

2:30am The city of Las Vegas has announced the demolition of the Tropicana hotel at 2:30am on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. Maybe some of us will get/stay up and go see it. :-)

Our Hotel

Our group's host hotel is the Paris. I assume we will receive confirmation emails from IMEX soon... :-) Bus transportation will be provided to the Mandalay Bay Convention Center each day.

Ticketed Events

Several organizations host events that you can purchase tickets to, including MPI's Rendezvous party and SITE's SITE NIGHT at Top Golf.

Pro tip: Ask the people you're meeting with if they have a spare ticket. :-)

Education & Expo

Monday at IMEX is education day - it's called Smart Monday - and there are many opportunities to join sessions. All sessions on Monday take place in the Mandalay Bay North Convention Center. 

Educational sessions on Tuesday-Thursday all take place on the Expo show floor, with the exception of the major keynotes in the North Convention Center. 

The Expo is open Tuesday through Thursday from 9:30a to 5:30p and all meetings take place in vendor booths in the expo. Explore the floor plan here. 

 

Hosted Buyer Lounge

​Exclusively for hosted buyers, our Hosted Buyer Lounge is designed to help you:

  • Recharge, relax and refresh

  • Catch up with calls and with fellow hosted buyers and to meet our friendly hosted buyer team—there to answer any questions you have

Location: Hall B (open to hosted buyers only) 
Tuesday and Wednesday 8am - 5:30pm, Thursday 8am - 4:30pm

Free services: coffee and refreshments, snacks, Wi-Fi, charging stations and spaces to work
Other services: Sandwiches, salads and desserts for purchase
